    ذكر ملك بهرام بن بهرام بن هرمز ثم قام بالملك بعده ابنه بهرام بن بهرام بن هرمز بن سابور بن أردشير. وكان ذا علم- فيما قيل- بالأمور، فلما عقد التاج على رأسه دعا له العظماء بمثل ما كانوا يدعون لآبائه، فرد عليهم مردا حسنا، وأحسن فيهم السيرة، وقال: إن ساعدنا الدهر نقبل ذلك بالشكر، وإن يكن غير ذلك نرض بالقسم. واختلف في سني ملكه، فقال بعضهم: كان ملكه ثماني عشرة سنة. وقال بعضهم: كان سبع عشرة سنة .
