وكان سعيد بن سلم شريفا، ولي أرمينية، والموصل، والسند، وطبرستان، وغير ذلك من قبل بني العباس، وقد ولي إخوته الولايات أيضا. وكان محمد بن الاعرابي الراوية مع سعيد بن سلم مؤدبا لولده. وقتل مع قتيبة أخوه صالح بن مسلم، وأخوه عبد الله بن مسلم، وزياد، وكان له من الأخوة غير هؤلاء: عبد الرحمن بن مسلم، وله عقب بخراسان. وحماد بن مسلم. ورزيق بن مسلم كان يخلفه بباب الحجاج. وعمرو بن مسلم، ولي ابنه وابن ابنه البحرين لأبي جعفر أمير المؤمنين. ويزيد بن مسلم كان على شرط مسلم بن قتيبة. ومعبد بن مسلم يقال انه قتل مع قتيبة. وحصين بن مسلم.
