    الحارث بن قطيعة، وأمه هند بنت مازن بن ربيعة بن منبه بن صعب بن سعد العشيرة. وغالب بن قطيعة. ومعتم - مفتوحة التاء - وأمهما سهلة بنت سعد بن ذبيان بن بغيض. فولد الحارث بن قطيعة: مازن بن الحارث. وزبينة بن الحارث. وشداد بن الحارث. وعامر بن الحارث، وأمهم هند بنت عوف بن سعد بن ذبيان. وذكوان بن الحارث. وجروة بن الحارث، وأمهما من بني وابش بن يزيد بن عدوان. قال ابن الكلبي: جروة هو اليمان، وحذيفة من ولده وإنما قيل حذيفة بن اليمان من ولد جروة، وبينه وبين اليمان آباء. وكان جروة قد أصاب دما في قومه، فهرب إلى المدينة، فحالف بني عبد الأشهل، فسماه قومه اليمان لأنه حالف اليمانية، فقيل جروة اليماني.
