    ومن بني بوّ: زيد بن جلبة بن مرداس بن بوّ، كان عظيم القدر سيدا، وكان على وفد بني تميم حين وفدوا على عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله تعالى عنه، وفيهم الأحنف من تحت يده. وكان عثمان رضي الله تعالى عنه حين كتب المصاحف بعث إلى زيد بن جلبة بمصحف بني تميم، وكان مع ابن عامر بن كريز له عنده قدر، وكان يلي له، وشهد الجمل مع عائشة رضي الله تعالى عنها، ووفد إلى معاوية بعد ذلك، ولا عقب له.
