وقديد بن منيع بن معاوية بن فروة بن الأحمس بن عبدة بن الأحمس بن عبدة بن خليفة بن جرول بن منقر، ومنيع الذي يقول: يبكى علينا ولا نبكي على أحد … لنحن أغلظ أكبادا من الإبل لا شيء أحسن منها إذ تودعني … وجيبها برشاش الدمع مغتسل وكان من ولد قديد: الأحنف بن قديد. وعبدة بن قديد، وكان عبدة جوادا، وفيه يقول الشاعر: كذب القائلون قد ذهب الج … ود ومات الندى بموت الجنيدمن أراد الندى وبذل العطايا … فعلية بعبدة بن قديد ويقال ان الذي يقول: يبكى علينا ولا نبكي على أحد. .. قديد بن منيع. وتزوج أبو مسلم المرزبانة بنت قديد، وتزوجها عبد الجبار بن عبد الرحمن.
