ومنهم: مطر بن ناجية بن ذروة بن حطان بن قيس بن أوس بن حميري الذي غلب على الكوفة أيام ابن الأشعث، وقد كتبنا خبره وهرب حين قتل ابن الأشعث، وفيه وبه يراد قول الشاعر: وفرّ الرياحيان إذ حمش (¬١) … الوغى مطير وبرّاد فرارا عذوّرا (¬٢) يريد الأبرد بن قرة الرياحي، وكان مع مطر بالكوفة، وبعضهم يقول هو ناجنة - بنون - ولكن الناس صحّفوه وهو بالنون أصح. ومن بني رياح:
