وأخوه سويد قتل معه، ويكنى أبا عدي. ومن ولد سويد: معاوية بن سويد يحدث عنه. حدثني محمد بن سعد عن الواقدي عن إسحاق بن يحيى بن طلحة عن مجاهد قال: البكاؤون بنو مقرّن وهم سبعة (¬١). قال الواقدي: سمعت من يقول أنهم شهدوا الخندق. قال الواقدي: كان عمرو بن عامر (¬٢) المزني حليف بني عامر بن لؤي، يكنى أبا عبد الله، وقد شهد الخندق، وهو قديم الإسلام أحد البكائين، ومات في أيام معاوية.
