    وعوف بن عبد مناة. وأشيب بن عبد مناة. وثور بن عبد مناة، وهو ثورأطحل (¬١)، نسب إلى جبل يقال له أطحل، كان يسكنه عدي، وأمهم سلمى بنت نهد بن زيد من قضاعة، ويقال ان أمهم المفدّاة بنت ثعلبة بن دودان بن أسد، وأمها سلمى بنت مالك بن نهد. وسموا الرباب لأن تيما (¬٢)، وعديا، وعوفا وثورا، وأشيب، وضبة عمهم غمسوا أيديهم في الربّ، وتحالفوا على بني تميم بن مرّ، فهم الرباب جميعا، وقيل تيم الرباب ليفرق بينها وبين تيم ربيعة، وقيل أيضا إنهم اجتمعوا كرباب القداح، والواحدة ربابة. نسب عكل فولد عوف بن عبد مناة بن أدّ بن طابخة:
