وأبو كبير بن ثابت بن عبد شمس (¬٣) بن خالد بن عمر بن عبد بن كعب بن مالك بن كاهل الشاعر، وأبو كبير القائل:عجلت يداك لخيرهم بمرشّة … كالعطّ وسط مزادة المستخلف (¬١) وهو القائل: يهدي العمود (¬٢) … له الطريق إذا هم نهضوا وتعمد للطريق الأسهل ولقد سريت على الظلام بمغشم (¬٣) … جلد من الفتيان غير مهبّل (¬٤) مما حملن به وهنّ عواقد … حبك (¬٥) النطاق فشبّ غير مثقّل حملت به في ليلة مزؤودة … كرها وعقد نطاقها لم يحلل فأتت به حوش (¬٦) … الجنان مسهّدا سهدا إذا ما نام ليل الهوجل (¬٧) ومن بني كعب بن كاهل:
