ومنهم شجاع بن وهب (¬١) بن ربيعة بن أسد بن صهيب بن مالك بن كبير بن غنم، كانت له صحبة، وكان يكنى أبا وهب، وكان نحيفا طوالا أجنأ، وهاجر إلى أرض الحبشة في المرة الثانية، وآخى النبي ﷺ بينه وبين أوس بن خولي، وبعثه رسول الله ﷺ إلى جمع من هوازن بالسيّ (¬٢)، فأغار عليهم، وبعثه رسول الله ﷺ بكتابه إلى الحارث بن أبي شمر بغوطة دمشق، وأبلغ رسول الله ﷺ رسالته فقال: «صدق شجاع». وشهد بدرا وأحداوالخندق وجميع المشاهد مع النبي ﷺ، واستشهد يوم اليمامة سنة اثنتي عشرة وهو ابن بضع وأربعين سنة. وزعم الهيثم بن عدي أن النبي ﷺ وجهه إلى كسرى وذلك غلط.
