أمية بن خلف بن وهب بن حذافة بن جمح، كان عظيما من عظماء أهل الكفر، وكان أحد المطعمين يوم بدر، وقد ذكرنا خبره فيما تقدم من هذا الكتاب، وقتل يوم بدر كافرا، وقتل ابنه علي بن أبي طالب يوم بدر أيضا. وكان ولد أمية بن خلف صفوان بن أمية، وربيعة بن أمية، ومسعود بن أمية، والجعيد بن أمية.
