وهبيرة بن أبي وهب بن عمرو بن عائذ الشاعر وكان من الفرسان، وكان أحد من يؤذي رسول الله ﷺ، قتل في قول بعضهم يوم الخندق، وقيل بل بقي إلى الفتح فهرب إلى اليمن فمات بها كافرا، وهو الثبت، وكان عنده أم هانئ بنت أبي طالب فخطبها رسول الله ﷺ بعد هبيرة فقالت: والله لقد كنت أحبك في الجاهلية فكيف في الإسلام؟ ولكني مصبية، فأكره أن يؤذيك صبياني فقال رسول الله ﷺ: «خير نساء ركبن المطايا نساء قريش، أحناه على ولد في صغر وأرعاه على زوج في ذات يده».
