فأما عمير بن جدعان فولد: قنفذ بن عمير، أدرك النبي ﷺ، فكان مؤذيا له فقال أبو طالب فيه وفي عثمان بن عبيد الله: وإني أرى عثمان أمسى وقنفذا … ومن جمعا من شرّ تلك القبائل وكان المهاجر بن قنفذ بن عمير بن جدعان على شرط عثمان بن عفان، وكان عمر جلده وامرأته ثمانين ثمانين في شراب.
