وأما زهرة بن عثمان بن عمرو بن كعب بن سعد بن تيم فولد هشام، ويقال هاشم بن زهرة. كان صريعا، فأمره عمر بن الخطاب أن يصارع رجلا قدم يتحدى الناس بالمصارعة فصرعه هشام، وجلد مروان بن الحكم عبد الله بن هاشم بن زهرة بن عثمان بن عمرو في الخمر ثمانين، ويقال ابن هشام. ومن بني تيم بن مرة: عبد الله وعمير ابنا جدعان بن عمرو بنكعب بن سعد بن تيم بن مرة، وكلدة ابن جدعان، قتل يوم الفجار.
