وعبد الله بن معبد بن حميد قتل يوم الجمل، ويقال لبني تويتة بنحبيب بن اسد بن عبد العزّى ولبني حميد بن زهير التويتات والحميدات، وقال ذاك عبد الله بن عباس في كلام تكلم به. وقال ابن الكلبي: كان عمرو بن أمية بن الحارث بن أسد بن عبد العزى من مهاجرة الحبشة، وبها مات.
