    ولد هشام قال أبو اليقظان: ولد هشام: مسملة، ويزيد، ومحمدا، وأم هاشم، أمهم أم حكيم بنت يحيى بن الحكم بن أبي العاص، وأمها زينب بنت عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام المخزومي. وعبد الرحمن، ومروان، أمهما أم عثمان بنت سعيد بن خالد بن عمرو بن عثمان، وأمها أم عمرو بنت مروان بن الحكم. وعائشة أمها عبدة بنت عبد الله بن الإسوار بن يزيد بن معاوية. ومعاوية، والوليد، وسليمان، وقريشا، لأمهات أولاد شتى. وكانت عائشة تسير مع هشام في موكبه لإعجابه بها، وكانت لها خيل تسبق، وتزوجها عبد الله بن مروان بن محمد، وأما معاوية فكان أكبر القوم.
