أمر يزيد بن بعثر قال الهيثم: خرج يزيد بن بعثر السعدي من تميم بجوخى (¬١)، فوجّه إليه بشر بن مروان خيلا فقتل. فقال عمران بن حطّان: لقد كان في الدنيا يزيد بن بعثر … حريصا على الخيرات حلوا شمائله في أبيات. وقال الهيثم بن عدي: خرج في أيام ابن عربي وولايته اليمامة خوارج من السجن، وكانوا مقيّدين فحكّموا، فقال لهم رجل منهم: أطلقوا قيودكم. قالوا: ولم؟ لسنا نريد الفرار. فلم يخرج إليهم إبراهيم بن عربي وأخرج رجلا يقال له عطية بن جناب من أصحابه، ومعه رجل من موالي آل أبي مرثد الغنوي فقاتلاهم فقتل الخوارج.
