وأبان بن سعيد بن العاص بن أبي أحيحة: كان ينزل أيلة للعزلة، فخطب عائشة ابنة عثمان بن عفان فقالت: ما أنزله أيلة إلا سقوطه وتمثلت: مقيمٌ بجحر الضب لا أنت ضائرٌ … عدواً ولا مستنفعاً أنت نافعٌ وله يقول عبد الله بن عنبسة بن سعيد وهو ابن أخيه: أتركت طيبة رغبةً عن أهلها … ونزلت منتبذاً بدير القنفذِ فأجابه: أَوطَنتُ أرضاً بُرُّها كترابها … والفقر معدنُهُ بقصر الجنبدِ وولد أبان بالكوفة.
