أمر ظبي بن المسيّب بن فضالة العبدي قالوا: خرج ظبي بن المسيّب في ثلاثة وعشرين رجلا وثلاث نسوة، ابنتين له وجارية سوداء، وعبد أسود فأتوا موقوع (¬١) ونزلوا الجلحاء، فوجه إليهم سفيان بن معاوية اسماعيل بن مسلم فوعظهم فبينا هو كذلك إذ طلعت عليهم الخيل مع عيسى بن عمرو بن أبي الجمل، ومعهم ناس من الزط، وعليهم العاقب الأزدي، فاقتتلوا فقتلوا جميعا، وبعث برؤوسهم إلى سفيانفبعث بها إلى أمير المؤمنين المنصور في سفينة فغرقت السّفينة بالبطيحة.
