    ٨٤٨٠- ملحان بن زنار «٢» بن غطيف بن حارثة بن سعيد بن حشرج «٣» الطائيّ، أخو عدي بن حاتم لأبيه، ويجتمع معه في الحشرج، وأمهما النوار بنت رملة البحترية. له إدراك، وذكره عبد اللَّه بن محمد بن ربيعة القدامي في الفتوح، وقال: حدثني سعيد بن مجاهد أن ملحان بن زنّار أتى أبا بكر في جماعة من طي خمسمائة أو ستمائة، فقال: إنا أتيناك رغبة في الجهاد، وحرصا على الخير، فقال له أبو بكر: الحق بأبي عبيدة، فقد رضيت لك صحبته، فلحق به وشهد معه المواطن. وقال ابن سعد: كان لعدي بن حاتم إخوة من أمه أشراف، منهم قبيعس مات في الجاهلية، ولأم استخلفه علي على المدائن لما توجّه إلى صفين، وحليس، وملحان، وشهد ملحان صفّين مع معاوية.
