٨١٣٥- معتب بن عمرو الأسلمي «١» : أبو مروان. مشهور بكنيته. واختلف في اسمه، فقيل كما هنا، وقيل بسكون العين المهملة وكسر المثناة. وقيل كضبط ابن عمارة في الّذي قبله. قال الواقديّ: حدثنا سعد بن عطاء بن أبي مروان، عن أبيه، عن جدّه معتّب الأسلمي، قال: كنت جالسا عند النبي ﷺ فجاء ماعز بن مالك ... فذكر قصة رجمه، وفيها: فقال: «نكحتها حتّى غاب ذلك منك فيها كما يغيب المرود في المكحلة، وكما يغيب الرشاء في البئر؟» قال: نعم. وجاء عنه حديث آخر يأتي في ترجمة أبي معتب في الكنى إن شاء اللَّه تعالى.
