    ٧٥١٧ ز- كنانة بن بشر بن غياث بن عوف بن حارثة بن قتيرة: بن حارثة بن تجيب التّجيبي. قال ابن يونس: شهد فتح مصر، وقتل بفلسطين سنة ست وثلاثين، وكان ممن قتل عثمان، وإنما ذكرته لأن الذهبي ذكر عبد الرحمن بن ملجم، لأن له إدراكا، وينبغي أن ينزه عنهما كتاب الصحابة. وقتيرة في نسبه بقاف ومثناة بوزن عظيمة، وتجيب بضم أوله، وإلى كنانة أشار الوليد بن عقبة بقوله في مرثية عثمان:ألا إنّ خير النّاس بعد ثلاثة ... قتيل التّجيبيّ الّذي جاء من مصر [الطويل]
