    ٦٩٦١- غمر الجمحيّ. ذكره ابن شاهين في آخر حرف الغين المعجمة من كتاب الصحابة، ورأيته مضبوطابخط من كتب عنه بفتح الغين وسكون الميم. وأخرج من طريق بقية عن بحير بن سعد، عن خالد بن سعدان، عن جبير بن نفير، عن عمرو الجمحيّ- أنه حدثه أنّ رسول اللَّه ﵌ قال: «إذا أراد اللَّه بعبد خيرا استعمله ... » «١» الحديث. قال ابن شاهين: وقال آخرون: غمر بضم الغين المهملة وفتح الميم. قلت: وهو غلط على غلط، والصواب عمرو بن الحمق، كما بيّنته فيما مضى.
