    ٥٠٧٣ ز- عبد اللَّه، جدّ أبي ظبيان الكوفي: والد قابوس بن أبي ظبيان الجنبي، بفتح الجيم وسكون النون بعدها باء موحدة. أخرج الخطيب من طريق سعيد بن عامر الضبعي، عن قابوس بن أبي ظبيان، عن أبيه، عن جده، قال: رأيت رسول اللَّه ﵌ قبّل زبيبة الحسن. قال الخطيب: في مسندة محمد بن أبي الأزهر وهو كذّاب، وأبو ظبيان اسمه حسين بن جندب، ولا نعلم أنه روى عن أبيه شيئا، ولا ندري أسلم أبوه أم لا؟ انتهى. وقد قيل: إن اسم والد أبي ظبيان بن الحارث «٤» .
