    ٤٥٩٧ ز- عبد اللَّه بن ثور أحد بني الغوث. ذكره سيف في «الفتوح» في غير مكان، و [قال] «٤» إنه كان أميرا في الردة، وإن أبا بكر كتب إليه لما مات النبي ﷺ أن يجمع إليه من أطاعه من العرب ومن استجاب له من أهل «تهامة» حتى يأتيه أمره. وذكر أيضا أنه توجّه مع المهاجر بن أبي أمية إلى جرش أميرا عليها.وقد ذكرنا غير مرة أنهم كانوا لا يؤمّرون في ذلك الزمان إلا الصحابة.
