    ٤٠٠٧ ز- شويس بن حيّاش «٥» : العدويّ. له إدراك.ذكر أبو عبيد الكبريّ في شرح الأمالي أنه كان يقول: أنا ابن التاريخ ولدت عام الهجرة. قال: وعمّر حتى أدرك خلافة الرّشيد، له ذكر في ترجمة سديس العدوي. روى أحمد في الزّهد من طريق أبي خلدة، قال: قال لي أبو العالية: من بقي من شيوخ بني عدّي؟ قلت: أبو السوار. قال: ذاك من الفتيان. قلت: شويس العدويّ. قال: نعم، وذاك ممن أخذ العطاء في عهد عمر. قال: وقوله حتى أدرك خلافة الرّشيد غلط محض.
