    ١٠٤٥٧- أبو كلاب بن أبي صعصعة «٣» ، واسم أبي صعصعة عمرو بن زيد بن عوف بن مبذول الأنصاري المازني. قال أبو عمر: استشهد يوم مؤتة، ولعله الّذي بعده، وقد وحّدهما ابن عساكر، ونقلفي كتاب الكنى من روايته إلى أبي طاهر عبد الملك بن محمد بن أبي بكر، عن عمه عبد اللَّه بن أبي بكر، قال: وقتل بمؤتة من بني مازن بن النجار أبو كليب وجابر ابنا عمرو بن زيد بن عوف بن مبذول [بن عمرو] بن غنم بن مازن بن النجار. وقال عبد اللَّه بن عمارة بن القدّاح قاله في نسب الأنصار: فمن ولد عوف قيس بن أبي صعصعة، وأخوه أبو كلاب، شهدا أحدا والمشاهد بعدها حتى استشهدا بمؤتة. وكذا ذكر ابن سعد أنهما استشهدا ب «مؤتة» .
