    ٢٢٩٨ ز- خميصة بن الحكم السلمي: أحد الإخوة. ذكره الواقديّ في «الرّدة» ، وأنه كان ممن ارتدّ بعد النبيّ ﵌، وقتل قبيصة السلمي. قال الواقديّ: فحدّثني عبد اللَّه بن الحارث بن فضيل عن أبيه عن سفيان بن أبي العوجاء، قال: قدم معاوية بن الحكم السلمي بأخيه خميصة على أبي بكر، فقال له أبو بكر لأقتلنك بقبيصة، فقال له معاوية إنه قتله وهو مرتدّ وقد تاب الآن وراجع الإسلام، فقال له أبو بكر: فأخرج ديته، فنعم الرجل كان قبيصة وسيأتي له ذكر في ترجمة قبيصة إن شاء اللَّه تعالى.
