    ١٢٨٤ ز- جرول العبسيّ، آخر. أدرك النبيّ ﷺ، وغزا في عهد عمر. روى يعقوب بن شيبة في مسندة عن سريج بن النّعمان، عن الهيثم بن عمران بن عبد اللَّه، حدّثني جدي عبد اللَّه، عن أبيه أبي عبد اللَّه جرول، قال: شهدت مع عتبة بن غزوان فتح إصطخر [ (٣) ] ، فكتب إلى عمر، فكتب إلى صاحب الشّام أن عد أبا عبد اللَّه فيسبعين دينارا من العطاء وعدّ عياله في عشرة عشرة.
