١٠٩١- جبير بن الحويرث [ (٣) ] بن نقيد بن بجير بن عبد بن قصي بن كلاب القرشيّ. قال الزّبير: قتل أبوه يوم الفتح. وقال ابن سعد: أدرك النبي ﷺ ورآه ولم يرو عنه. وروى عن أبي بكر وغيره. وروى الواقديّ عن ابن المسيب عن جبير بن الحويرث، قال: حضرت يوم اليرموك المعركة فلا أسمع للناس كلمة إلا صوت الحديد. قلت: ومن يكون يوم اليرموك رجلا يكون يوم الفتح مميزا، فلا مانع من عدّه في الصّحابة وإن لم يرو.وقال أبو عمر: في صحبته نظر. وعدّه ابن حبّان في التابعين.
