٤٧٦ ز- أصمع بن مظهّر بن رياح بن عبد شمس بن أعيا بن سعد بن عبد بن غنم بن قتيبة بن معن بن مالك بن أعصر الباهلي، جدّ الأصمعي عبد الملك بن قريب بن علي بن أصمع. قال أبو عبيد البكريّ في شرح «أمالي القالي» : أدرك النبي ﷺ وأصيب يوم الأهواز. وقال ابن حزم في «الجمهرة» : أدرك النبي ﷺ، وأسلم هو وأبوه جميعا. وذكر المبرّد في «الكامل» لابنه علي بن أصمع قصة مع علي بن أبي طالب ثم مع الحجاج.
