٤٥٩- الأسود بن هلال المحاربي [ (٤) ] ، أبو سلام الكوفي. هاجر في زمن عمر، رواه ابن سعد. وقال العجليّ: كان جاهليا، وكان من أصحاب عبد اللَّه. وحديثه عن الصحابة في الصحيحين وغيرهما عن معاذ بن جبل ونحوه.وروى الباورديّ في الصّحابة من طريق أشعث بن أبي الشعثاء، عن الأسود بن هلال، وكان قد أدرك النبيّ ﷺ. وكذا أخرجه العثماني، واستدركه ابن فتحون. وروى البخاريّ في تاريخه، من طريق أبي وائل، قال: أتيت الأسود بن هلال، وكان أعقل مني. قال ابن سعد: مات زمن الحجاج. وقال عمرو بن علي: مات سنة أربع وثمانين.
