    ١٦٧- الأسود بن عوف الزهري [ (٤) ] ، أخو عبد الرحمن، أحد العشرة. قال ابن سعد: أسلم هو وأخوه عبد اللَّه يوم الفتح وقال ابن عبد البرّ- تبعا للزبير: هاجر قبل الفتح، وهو والد جابر الّذي ولي المدينة لابن الزبير. ولجابر قصة في الموطأ، وقتل أخوه محمد وعباس ابنا الأسود مع ابن الأشعث بالراوية.
