    الصّحابيّ عند علماء الأصول قال أبو الحسين في «المعتمد» : هو من طالت مجالسته له على طريق التّبع له والأخذ عنه، أما من طالت بدون قصد الاتباع أو لم تطل كالوافدين فلا. وقال الكيا الطّبريّ: هو من ظهرت صحبته لرسول اللَّه ﷺ صحبة القرين قرينه حتى يعد من أحزابه وخدمه المتصلين به. قال صاحب «الواضح» : وهذا قول شيوخ المعتزلة. وقال ابن فورك: هو من أكثر مجالسته واختص به.
