    ٦٧١ - أبو الحسن على بن الحسين بن أحمد بن إبراهيم العكبرى، المعروف بابن جدا. سمع الحديث من أبى على بن شهاب، وأبى القاسم هبة الله الطبرى، وأبى القاسم بن بشران، وأبى على بن شاذان، وأبى على بن المذهب وغيرهم. وقرأ الفقه على الوالد السعيد. وله مصنف فى الأصول. وكان شيخا صالحا، دينا، كثير الصلاة، حسن التلاوة للقرآن. وكان ذا لسن وفصاحة فى المجالس والمحافل.وتوفى فجأة فى الصلاة فى شهر رمضان سنة ثمان وستين وأربعمائة، وصلّى عليه بجامع المنصور، ودفن فى مقابر إمامنا ﵁.
