المسألة الثالثة عشرة قال الخرقى: ويستحب لأم الولد أن تغطى رأسها فى الصلاة، وقال أبو بكر: أم الولد كالحرة فى وجوب الستر. وجه قول الخرقى: أنها تضمن بالقيمة فهى كالأمة القنّ، ووجه قول أبى بكر: أنه قد استقرت الحرية فيها.
