    بعض القرشيين القياس على مذهب صاحب الكتاب في الاضافة إلى قريش قريش كما قال: بحيٍّ قريشي عليه مهابةٌ ... سريع إلى داعي الندى والتكرم فأما قريش المنسوب إليه القبيلة فيقال انه سمي بذلك من قولك تقرش القوم إذا تجمعوا وذلك لتجمع قريش ويقال ان قريشاً دابة من دواب البحر ويقال أيضاً تقرش الرجل إذا تنزه عن مدانس الأمور قال وبنا سميت قريش قريشاً.
