١٣٦٨- (١) أحدهما مقاتل بن سليمان أبو الحسن البلخي صاحب التفسير حدث عن مجاهد بن جبر وعطاء بن أبي رباح وأبي إسحاق السبيعي والضحاك بن مزاحم وعبد الله بن بريدة وابن شهاب وغيرهم روى عنه الهذيل بن حبيب وبقية بن الوليد وعبد الرزاق بن همام وحرمي بن عمارة وحجاج بن نصير وعلي بن الجعد في آخرين وكان صاحب مناكير. (١٥٧٤) أخبرنا القاضي أبو بكر أحمد بن الحسين الحرشي حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب الأصم حدثنا أبو عتبة أحمد بن الفرج حدثنا بقية حدثنا مقاتل بن سليمان عن عطاء بن أبي رباح في قوله ﴿يحول بين المرء وقلبه﴾ قال يحول بين المؤمن وبين الكفر ويحول بين الكافر والإيمان.
