    ٤٧٩- (٢) والآخر داود بن رشيد اليمني حدث عن حامد بن عبد الله الترمذي حدثنا عنه منصور بن الربيعة. (٥٣٧) أخبرنا أبو الفتح منصور بن ربيعة الزهري الخطيب بالدينور حدثنا داود بن رشيد اليمني بالعثر حدثنا حماد بن عبد الله الترمذي مجاور مكة عن جده لأمه عبد الرحمن بن حنطبة قال حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الرحمن بن وهب أخبرنا عبد الله بن وهب عن القتيبة ابن سعيد عن عطاء بن دينار قال غضب رجل على غلامه بإفريقية وأنا بها فتبعه ليضربه فجعل يهرب منه فقال لا ينجيك مني شيء إلا الله ولا الله. قال فدخلت نار تحت ثيابه فجعلته فحما فذهبت فنظرت إليه وإذا به لم تحرق النار شيئاً من ثيابه ولا أثرت فيه وهو ميت فحم.
