    ٢٠٤- (٣) أيوب بن سليمان الجزري أبو أمية حدث عن عطاء بن أبي رباح روى عنه عمرو بن خالد وأحمد بن عبد الملك بن واقد الحرانيان. (٢٣٢) أخبرنا أبو الحسين بن بشران أخبرنا علي بن محمدالمصري حدثنا محمد بن عمرو بن خالد حدثنا أبي حدثنا أيوب بن سليمان أبو أمية من أهل الجزيرة قال حججت سنة ثلاث عشرة ومائة فدخلت على عطاء بن أبي رباح فقلت له ما تقول في رجل عرضت عليه امرأة فقال إن تزوجتها فهي طالقة قال لا طلاق فيما لا يملك عقدة نكاحه ولا عتق فيما لا يملك رقبته أسند ذلك إلى ابن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم قال محمد قال أبي بلغني أن عطاء مات سنة خمس عشرة ومائة.
