[١٧٩] الحسين بن حمزة بن الحسين بن حفص الخثمي الأشناني. كذا في "السُّنَن" (٢/ ١٤٤)، والرؤية (٩٧)، وذكر محققاه أنّه قد حصل تخليط في اسمه، واستظهرا أنّ صوابه: محَمَّد بن الحسن بن حمزة ... فإن كان كذلك فقد ترجمته في "شيوخ الطبراني" وأمّا شَيْخنا الوادعي، ومن ساعده في بحثه؛ فقد قالوا: لم نجده, انظر رجال الدَّارقُطْنِي (٤٧٢). وقد جود وإسناد حديثه الّذي رواه عنه الدَّارقُطْنِي في "سننه" ابن الملقن في كتابه "البدر المنير" (٥/ ٦١١) وذكر الدَّارقُطْني أنّه حدثه من أصل كتابه والله الموفق. قلت: [إنَّ لم يكن محمَّد بن الحسن فلا بأس به إن شاء الله تعالى].[*] الحسن بن شقيق. صوابه: الحسن بن رشيق.
