[٧٣] أحْمَد بن محَمَّد بن أحْمَد بن سَلْم أبو الحسن المخرَّمي، الكاتب، مولى العباس بن محَمَّد الهاشمي. حدَّث عن: الزُّبَير بن بكَّار، ويحيى بن محَمَّد بن أعين المروزي، وحفص بن عمرو الرَّبالي، والحسن بن محَمَّد الزعفراني، وعلي بن حرب، وغيرهم. وعنه: أبو الحسن الدَّارقُطْنِي في "سننه" وأبو عمر بن حيويه، وابن شاهين، وابن سمعون الواعظ، ويوسف القَوَّاس، وابن بَطَّة، وغيرهم.قال الدَّارقُطْنِي: كان ثقة. وكذا قال الذَّهَبِي. مات في ربيع الأوّل سَنَة سبع وعشرين وثلاثمائة. قلت: [ثقة، وقد روى عنه جماعة كبار]. السُّنَن (٢/ ١٢)، تَارِيخ بَغْدَاد (٤/ ٣٦٢)، تَارِيخ الإِسْلَام (٢٤/ ٢٠١).
