    [٩] إبراهيم بن رشيق، أبو إسحاق العسَّال، المصري حدَّث عن: عبد الله بن جعفر بن الورد وعنه: أبو الحسن الدَّارقُطْنِي. قال الحافظ أبو إسحاق الحبَّال: سمع الكثير. مات ليلة الأحد لثلاث بقين من شعبان سَنَة ثمان وسبعين وثلاثمائة. قلت: [هو إلى صدوق أقرب، وكون الرَّجل سمع الكثير دل ذلك على الرحلة والاعتناء بالطلب، ومن كان كذلك ولم يجرح؛ فالأصل قبوله] والله أعلم. وفيات المصريين للحبَّال (٣٧)، المقفى الكبير (١/ ١٥٤).
