    ٣٢٩٤ - عمر بن العلاء بن جارية الثقفي: المدني، أخو الأسود الماضي، يروي عن أبيه، وعنه فليح بن سليمان بحديث: «لا يدخل مكة والمدينة الطاعون ولا الدجال»، وحديثه في مسند أحمد، وذكره البخاري وقال: حديثه في المدنيين إن لم يكن أخا للأسود بن العلاء فلا أدري، وتبعه ابن أبي حاتم ثم فقال: قلت لأبي: أهو أخو الأسود؟، فقال: لا أدري … هو شيخ مدني، وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات بحاصل ما سبق إلا الشك في أنه أخو الأسود.
