    ٢٨٣٣ - عبيد الله بن المنتاب بن الفضل بن أيوب: أبو الحسن البغدادي، ويعرف بالكرابيسي، ولي قضاء المدينة، وقيل في اسمه: غير هذا، عداده في البغداديين من أصحاب القاضي إسماعيل وبه تفقه، وله كتاب في مسائل الخلاف والحجة لمالك،نحو مائتي جزء، وقيل: إنه ولي قضاء مكة، بل والشام أيضا، وهو من شيوخ المالكيين وفقهاء أصحاب مالك وحذاقهم ونظارهم، وحفاظهم وأئمة مذهبهم، روى عنه أبو القاسم الشافعي وأبو إسحاق بن شعبان وغيرهما وأبو الفرج.
