٢٢٦٠ - عبد الله بن مسلم بن عبيد الله بن شهاب بن عبد الله: أبو محمد القرشي الزهري المدني، أخو الإمام أبي بكر محمد بن مسلم الزهري الآتي وكان الأكبر، أمهما من بني الديل من كنانة، يروي عن ابن عمر وعبد الله بن ثعلبة بن صعير وجماعة، وعنه: ابنه محمد وأخوه (ومات قبله) وبكير بن الأشج ومعمر والنعمان بن راشد، وثقه ابن معين والنسائي وزاد: ثبت، ووثقه ابن سعد وقال: قليل الحديث، ووثقه ابن حبان، وقال ابن حبان: مات في رمضان سنة أربع وعشرين ومائة، وذكر في التهذيب.
