    ٢٢٠٣ - عبد الله بن كعب بن مالك بن أبي القين: أبو فضالة السلمي الأنصاري، من أهل المدينة وقائد أبيه من بنيه حين عمي، سمع أباه وعثمان بن عفان وأبا لبابة بن عبد المنذر وعبد الله بن أنيس وعبد الله بن عباس، وذكر البخاري: أنه روى عن عمر ﵁، وعنه: ابنه عبد الرحمن واخوته: محمد ومعبد وعبد الرحمن، والزهري وسعد بن ابراهيم وغيرهم، وثقه أبو زرعة الرازي والعجلي، وقال: مدني تابعي، ووثقه ابن سعد وابن حبان، وقال ابن حبان: مات سنة سبع أو ثمان وتسعين في ولاية سليمان بن عبد الملك، وذكره العسكري فيمن لحق النبي ﷺ، وقال الواقدي: ولد على عهد النبي ﷺ، وخرج له الشيخان وغيرهما، وهو في التهذيب وثاني الإصابة.
