٢٠٤٢ - عبد الله بن زيد بن عبد ربه بن ثعلبة: أبو محمد الأنصاري الخزرجي منبني الحرث بن الخزرج المدني، وجعل ابن حبان جده ثعلبة بن عبد ربه بن زيد بن الحارث بن الخزرج بن جشم بن الحارث بن الخزرج، وكذا سمى شيخنا جده «ثعلبة» في أول الإصابة والأقشهري، وقيل إن ذكر «ثعلبة» في نسبه خطأ، وهو راوي الأذان ذكره مسلم في المدنيين وسمى جده عبد ربه، شهد بدرا والعقبة. روى عنه: ابنه محمد وعبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى وسعيد بن المسيب وآخرون. مات بالمدينة سنة اثنتين وثلاثين عن أربع وستين وصلّى عليه عثمان. خرج له أصحاب السنن، وذكر في التهذيب.
