١٩٤٦ - العباس بن عبد الله بن معبد بن العباس بن عبد المطلب: الهاشمي المدني من أهلها، كان أحد الصلحاء. يروي عن أبيه وأخيه إبراهيم الماضي وعكرمة، وعنه: ابن إسحاق ووهيب بن خالد وسليمان بن هلال وابن عيينة والدراوردي وابن جريج وابن العجلان. وثقه ابن معين وابن حبان، وقال أحمد: ليس به بأس، وقال ابن عيينة: كان رجلا صالحا، وكذا حكى صاحب العتبية عن مالك، قال: رأيته وكان رجلا صالحا من أهل الفضل والفقه، وخرج له أبو داود وترجم في التهذيب.
