٦٩٥ - ثابت بن عمرو بن زيد بن عدي بن سواد بن مالك بن غنم بن عدي بن النجار، النجاري الأنصاري: حليف لهم، وكان أصله من أشجع، ثم حالف الأنصار، وانتسب فيهم بالبنوة، ككثير من العرب المقداد بن الأسود وغيره، ولا نسياق النسب إلى النجار يقتضى أنه أنصاري، شهد بدرا، واستشهد بأحد، في قول جميعهم حتى ابن اسحاق، وإن استثناه ابن عبد البر، تبعا لابن جرير، نعم لم يذكره موسى بن عقبة فيمن استشهد بأحد.
